Permit Application Submitted For Halsted Pointe Phase One On Goose Island

A permit application has been entered for the mixed-use tower at 901 N Halsted Street within the upcoming Halsted Pointe development on Goose Island. Located on the southern tip of the island, the proposal will replace the existing Greyhound Bus facility which has already been mostly demolished. The permit is being pursued by Canadian-based developer Onni Group who used Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture on the design.

Plan Commission Approves Residential Development In Woodlawn

Plans have been approved for the residential development at 6521 S Blackstone Avenue in Woodlawn. Located on the northeast corner with E 65th Place, the new building will replace a vacant lot with its front facade facing south onto 65th. The Chicago Plan Commission approved the proposal’s Lakefront Protection Ordinance application submitted by developer DOM Acquisitions LLC, with Hanna Architects working on its design.

Redevelopment Announced For Lourdes School In Uptown

Initial details have been revealed for the residential conversion of the Our Lady Lourdes School at 4641 N Ashland Avenue in Uptown. Located just south of the intersection with W Leland Avenue across the street from the namesake church, the project is the second for the previous church buildings. Developed by Honore Properties, the school served the local community for over 50-years before closing in 2004.
