Partial financing has been secured for the first tower of the Halsted Pointe development at 901 N Halsted Street on Goose Island. Located on the southern tip of the island, the mixed-use project replaces the Greyhound Bus facility with permits being applied for late last year with the city. Canadian-based developer Onni Group is not only behind this project but also Halsted Landing right across the river.

Foundation permits were applied for the potential next phase of the Southbank development in the South Loop. Located at 648 S Wells Street, just south of the intersection with W Harrison Street, the new structure will come soon after the opening of The Reed nearby. The project is being led by developer Lendlease with architecture firm FitzGerald Associates working on its design.

Tower Crane Permit Issued for 400 N Lake Shore Drive As Financing Is Secured

Financing has been secured and the tower crane permit has now been issued for the first phase of 400 N Lake Shore Drive in Streeterville. The project was originally revealed in 2018 and has seen multiple revisions prior to now, with the new tower replacing the long-term vacant site and hole left behind by the Chicago Spire. The two-phase development is being led by Related Midwest with architecture-firm SOM working on its design.
