Habitat For Humanity Chicago Gets Permits For Three SFRs In Austin

Three new construction permits have been issued to Habitat For Humanity Chicago to build single-family residences on Lockwood Avenue in the Austin neighborhood. The first of the two-story homes was permitted on April 7 for 421 North Lockwood, and the following day, 425 and 427 North Lockwood received permits. The three applications are dated a week apart in March, and each permit shows a reported construction cost of $320,000 apiece.

Five Units Permitted For Recently-Cleared Double Lot At 1942 North Orchard In Lincoln Park

Five residential units have been permitted to replace an 1890s home at 1942 North Orchard Street in Lincoln Park. The previous structure was torn down last fall, with the site marketed as a redevelopment opportunity. After demolition, the double lot sold in January for $4.2 million to Swan Property Development of Orland Park, who will now erect a four-story with basement building here.
