Updated plans have been revealed for the redevelopment of the former site of DePaul College Prep at 3601 N California Avenue in Irving Park. Located on the corner with W Addison Street along the Chicago River, plans for the redevelopment have now shifted since we first covered them in 2021. Construction Is Underway For Townhomes, Apartments At Neva And Wabansia Avenues in Galewood

Construction is underway for Enclave Galewood, a residential development in the Galewood neighborhood at the western edge of Chicago’s Austin Community Area. Developers Harlem Irving Companies and Novak Construction got permits to build all phases of their project in late October of this year. Novak Construction is also the general contractor here; they are building designs by OKW Architects.

The Greenview Collection, a row of three stand-alone, single-family homes spanning 4454-4458 North Greenview Avenue in Uptown, appears very close to being move-in ready. We’ve been following progress here since the former First Spanish Christian Church was demolished in January to clear the site for redevelopment.  Longford Construction is both the developer and general contractor here.  Stoneberg + Gross Architects designed the homes.

Funding Partially Approved For New 120-bed Shelter In Little Village

Details have been revealed as funding has been initially approved for a new shelter at 2508 W 21st Street in Little Village. Located just east of the intersection with S Rockwell Street, the shelter will redevelop an existing industrial building sitting next to the elevated rail embankments. Efforts for the project are being led by Franciscan Outreach with LBBA serving as the architects.
