Foundation work is underway for the condominium development at 2237 West Roscoe Street in the Roscoe Village neighborhood. Lots of concrete occupies the construction site as developer and general contractor Garner Development works on the basement level.
Plans have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 3611 North Halsted Street in Lake View East. Located just north of the intersection with West Addison Street, the project would replace a currently vacant lot that most recently held a one-story commercial building with a water tower. The effort is being led by the current owner of the site.
Plans have been revealed for a new residential development at 2411 West Congress Parkway in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood. Located near the intersection with South Western Avenue and across the street from the Eisenhower Expressway, the project would replace a former rectory building previously owned by the Catholic Bishop of Chicago and used for youth outreach.
A permit to build 18 residential units languishing in the Chicago Data Portal since September 2024 has now been issued by the City of Chicago. That permission was granted on October 8th for 4125 North Narragansett Avenue in Portage Park, and it comes through with a reported cost of $1.25 million. Developer Artur Drezek of Borter Z Inc filed the application on September 10, 2024.
Additional details have been revealed for the larger Imani Village development at the intersection of South Cottage Grove Avenue and East 95th Street, within the Pullman area. Located just east of Chicago State University, the large multi-phase village is being led by Trinity United Church of Christ, with work already underway.
