Plans have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 3007 West Irving Park Road in the Irving Park neighborhood. Located near the intersection with North Sacramento Avenue and just steps from Horner Park, the proposal would replace a pair of existing mixed-use buildings whose ground-floor retail space has been vacated.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved plans for the mixed-use development known as “The Phoenix” at 3611 North Halsted Street in Lake View East. Located just north of the intersection with West Addison Street, the low-rise would add to a string of new developments in the North Halsted area, including two recently proposed hotels.
The Chicago City Council has approved plans for the residential development at 3746 to 3766 South Michigan Avenue in Bronzeville. Sitting just south of the intersection with East 37th Place, the multi-building project will replace a vacant lot in the quickly growing and changing neighborhood, just north of where a new hotel and museum were recently announced.
A groundbreaking date has been announced for the upcoming mixed-use development at 2137 West Irving Park Road in North Center. Sitting at the intersection with North Hamilton Avenue, the project will replace a small drive-thru bank and its adjacent parking lot in the quickly densifying neighborhood. Efforts are being led by local developer Barrett Homes.
Plans have been revealed for a new residential development at 1282 West Washington Boulevard in the West Loop. Located mid-block between North Ada Street and North Elizabeth Street, the proposal would replace an existing one-story commercial building on the western end of the neighborhood.
