A Chicago developer landed a pair of new construction permits on October 27th to build residential buildings one block from each other in the Kenwood neighborhood. Hancock Management & Construction Company is the developer and general contractor for the two projects, which have reported construction costs of $450,000 apiece.
A construction permit has been issued to erect a two-story plus basement, two-unit residential building at 6326 South Eberhart Avenue in Woodlawn. The permit came through on October 15, eight months after its application date of February 18, and it includes a reported cost of $420,000. The homes replace a long-vacant mid-block lot.
Details have been revealed for the second building within the long-dormant Riverline development at 910 South Wells Street in the South Loop. These details come as the Chicago Department of Planning and Development approves the revised site plan for 910 Wells. Efforts for the project are being led by CMK Companies, with Gensler serving as the design architect.
Permission has been granted by the city to build a three-story plus basement, seven-unit residential building at 2222 West Morse Avenue in the West Rogers Park neighborhood. Issued to Broadview Solutions LLC on October 28, the permit shows an application date of 09/18/2025 and comes through with a reported cost of $986,000.
A construction permit has been issued for the first tower within the Halsted Pointe development at 931 North Halsted Street on Goose Island. Originally proposed a few years ago, the foundation and superstructure permit marks a major milestone for the multi-tower complex led by Canadian developer Onni.
