Construction progress has reached the top floor for the new residential development at Clark Street and Leland Avenue in Uptown. 4713 North Clark is the work of developer and general contractor Platinum Homes of Lincoln Park. They purchased the lot on the northeast corner and tore down a Byline Bank branch that had been closed for years.
Updated details have been revealed for the residential development at 6935 North Sheridan Road in Rogers Park. Located on the corner of West Morse Avenue, the project was initially revealed this past spring and has now undergone a major redesign. The development is being led by Chicago Equity Partners, with MC & Associates handling the design.
The condominium development at Irving Park Road and Wayne Avenue in Lake View is rapidly approaching completion. 3951 Wayne is a 31-unit building on the site of a former Burger King restaurant at 1323 West Irving Park Road. That edifice received a demolition permit in January 2024, and work on the new residences was approved three months later, with foundation work getting started last summer.
Plans have been officially revealed for a mixed-use development at 310 West Huron Street in River North. The nearly block-long property is bounded by North Orleans Street to the west and North Franklin Street to the east, with the current proposal being the latest in a long string of attempts to develop the site.
The XS Tennis and Education Foundation continues to expand the footprint it serves with the issuance of a six-unit apartment construction permit at 5400 South Dearborn Street in Washington Park. The permit comes on the heels of the Chicago Plan Commission approval of XS’s tennis village just a block north of this residential project. Applied for on April 21 of this year, the permit came through on July 31 with a reported cost of $1.5 million.
