Plans have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 1040 West Belmont Avenue in Lake View. Located near the corner of North Kenmore Avenue, just a few steps from the CTA Belmont station, the project would replace a large one-story commercial building currently home to a Giordano’s outpost.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 1060 West Van Buren Street in the West Loop. Located on the corner of South Aberdeen Street, the proposal has been in the works for over a year and will involve the redevelopment of the existing Universal Overall Co. lofts building, as well as the construction of a new tower on its adjacent lot.
Plans have been revealed and approved for a new mixed-use development at 4725 North Clifton Avenue in Uptown. Located at the intersection with North Broadway, the structure will replace part of a large parking lot just north of the historic Uptown Broadway Building. The project is being led by CEDARst Companies, which is best known for its Flats developments.
Additional details, renderings, and a Phase One timeline have been revealed for Foundry Park ahead of its Plan Commission review later this week. Located on the northern half of the former Lincoln Yards site in Lincoln Park, Foundry Park has been in the works by local developer JDL since the firm purchased the site last year after the previous megadevelopment stalled.
The Chicago City Council has approved plans for a mixed-use development at 4943 North Damen Avenue in Lincoln Square. Located near Winnemac Park, just south of the intersection with West Argyle Street, the project was initially proposed last summer and will replace an existing one-story commercial building.
