A permit was issued on October 2 by the City of Chicago to allow construction of a two-story, two-unit residential building at 6440 South Champlain Avenue in Woodlawn. Greenline Homes, who is both the developer and general contractor, waited just two weeks after applying to build on September 22. The reported cost of the permit is $496,000.
Additional renderings have been revealed for the mixed-use redevelopment of the historic Field Building at 135 South LaSalle Street in The Loop. Following a series of recent conversions that are rapidly increasing the neighborhood’s population, the project has officially received $98 million in TIF funds, approved by City Council earlier this week.
A permit has been issued by the City of Chicago to erect a three-unit residential building with ground-floor commercial space at 545 West 31st Street in Bridgeport. Granted on October 15, the permit shows an application date of August 5 and a reported cost of $1.72 million, seemingly high for such a project.
The Chicago City Council has approved plans for a residential expansion at 458 West Dickens Avenue in Lincoln Park. Located at the six-corner intersection of Cleveland and Lincoln Avenues, the proposal was originally revealed late this past summer. The project is being led by the building’s current owner, Arthur Paris.
The residential tower at 626 South Wabash Avenue in the South Loop has topped out. General contractor Clark Construction and concrete contractor Adjustable Concrete reached the milestone the week of October 20. On the lower floors, three levels of the glass exterior are now in place.
