A construction permit has been approved for a three-story residential building located at 1356 S Fairfield Avenue in North Lawndale. The project will yield three residential units, and is set to replace a vacant grass parcel. Owned by East Douglas Partners LLC, the plan includes a rear stair and a three-vehicle parking pad situated at the back.
Updated details have been reviewed by the Committee on Design for the mixed-use development at 2033 N Kingsbury Avenue in Lincoln Park. Originally proposed late last year and revised earlier this summer, the new structure will replace a vacant lot adjacent to the future home of Lincoln Yards. Similar to the megadevelopment and another nearby proposal at 1840 N Marcey Street, Sterling Bay is behind this project which is being designed by local firm Pappageorge Haymes.
The tower crane can now be seen installed at 633 S LaSalle Street in South Loop. Spearheaded by The Collective, the upcoming 18-floor residential structure will be established where a surface parking lot once stood. This building will showcase a co-living concept, encompassing 117 apartment suites that accommodate a total of 381 residents.
Construction continues on the first phase of the residential conversion of the St. Boniface Church at 1356 W Chestnut Street in Noble Square. A renovation permit has been granted for an existing multi-unit residential building at 1526 S Central Park Avenue in Lawndale. The work, to be executed within two of the dwelling units, encompasses interior upgrades, specifically within the kitchen and baths. New plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components are also part of the plan. Additionally, the project includes replacing the wood deck and stairs at the rear. The building is not set for a change in its use or occupancy, with the filing retaining the R-5 multi-unit residence categorization.
