The developer, filed under Tom Meador as manager, has planned for 51 units alongside 51 on-site parking spaces. Replacing a former parking lot, the development represents one of several new projects around Skinner Park, including 1400 W Monroe Street and a similar neighboring development at 128 S Laflin Street.

Steel construction has reached the third floor of 1404 W Monroe Street, a seven-story residential building in West Loop. Developed by JK Equities and marketed as 1400 Monroe, the condominium development will provide 42 condominium units, parking for 42 vehicles, and 22 reserved bike spaces.
Renovation permits have been issued for an existing church building that lies on the premises of the Great Lakes Academy charter school, located at 8401 S Saginaw Avenue in South Chicago. As the occupying owner, Great Lakes Academy plans to convert the 17,000-square-foot structure and its 15,000-square-foot basement to a gymnasium, cafeteria, and full-service kitchen. The issued permit also indicates a new single-story, 4,000-square-foot structure, as well as a partial renovation of the existing school building.
