Construction has been approved for two nearly identical residential buildings at 4645-47 N Clark Street in Uptown. Clark Estate LLC is the developer behind the four-story twin edifices, which will yield a total of six units, according to the approved permits. The new construction is set to replace two two-story buildings, which were demolished early 2020.

This week, Chicago YIMBY stopped by the newly renovated outdoor terrace behind the Michigan Plaza office complex, which occupies two international-style buildings at 205 and 225 N Michigan Avenue in New Eastside. The roughly one-acre venue will connect to the now offer various activities, such as a putting green, a fire pit, a bocce court, and a bar. Prior to construction, the parcel offered an open plaza space with much sparser vegetation and seating.

The listed owner, GA Roslyn LLC, also plans for a three-story rear metal stairs and covered porch, as well as a three-car rear parking pad. Developed by Thor Equities alongside joint venture partner QuadReal, the 300-foot monolith at 800 W Fulton Market spans nearly half a million square feet, offering tenants column-free layouts, private terraces, and 13-foot floor spans. The lower three levels offer 35,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.
Renovation permits have been approved for an existing three-story masonry building under the address 1840 W Augusta Boulevard in West Town. The alterations will comprise of an interior conversion from six to eight dwellings, as well as the construction of a new rear porch and basement slab. The permit ownership has been listed under the name “1840 W Augusta LLC Agent Gabe Horstick.”
