A foundation and partial superstructure permit has been issued for a new 23-story high rise at 808 N Cleveland Avenue in Near North Side. The nearly 300,000-square-foot mixed-use building will replace a vacant lot on the block bound by Cambridge, Chicago, and Cleveland Avenues.

A construction permit was issued this week for a new three-story multi-unit residential building at 4906 S St Lawrence Avenue in Grand Boulevard. According to the filing information submitted by the owner Kalos Group Development LLC, the development will come with three total units and a three-car garage in the rear.
Last week, Chicago YIMBY highlighted new plans for a Guinness brewery conversion of the former Pennsylvania Railroad terminal building at 375 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market District. Now, demolition has kicked off for the building’s non load-bearing walls as its outer shell undergoes replacement. The project is being co-developed by Guinness and Fred Latsko, and will involve the adaptive re-use of the existing masonry structure, alongside the construction of a new 33-story tower adjacently west.
