This construction by DOM Properties Investment will yield 5,200 square feet of ground-floor retail, divided into two commercial units. Topping this retail component are 48 apartment dwellings, ranging from one- to two-bedroom residences.

Salesforce Tower Core Tops Out in River North

This week, the concrete core for Chicago’s Salesforce Tower reached its full height, marking a key milestone for the 60-story skyscraper rising at 333 W Wolf Point Plaza along the confluence of the Chicago River. As noted in a LinkedIn post by the general contractor Walsh Construction, the final height of the core stands 840 feet, falling in line with recent speculation of a 15-foot height bump. Furthermore, it appears that the final architectural height of the edifice will now be 850 feet above the river walk, once the superstructure is accounted for.

Construction is rapidly rising for a new 10-story mixed-use development known as 43Green, situated at 4308 S Calumet Avenue in Bronzeville. Co-developers P3 Markets and The Habitat Company have planned 5,000 square feet of retail and a total of 99 apartments on the upper floors. Size-wise, the structure will stand at a pinnacle height of 106 feet, while spanning just over 96,000 square feet.

Directly across from the rapidly developing UI Health Outpatient Center, the new UI Health Welcome Atrium at 1740 W Taylor Street can also be seen making extensive progress in the Illinois Medical District. This new two-story glass-clad lobby attaches directly to the hospital’s main building, and has been designed with several purposes in mind. According to an overview on UI Health’s website, the new addition will “improve access, circulation, and wayfinding for patients, visitors, and staff,” while also strengthening brand and image for the hospital and creating a sense of comfort and security for visitors.
