Move-ins have begun for the new six-story building at 1123 W Randolph Street in West Loop. This mixed-use mid rise by Interra Realty comes with retail spanning the lower two levels, while the upper floors house a total of nine for-rent apartment units.
Demolition work has now begun for the five-story Cassidy Tires building, located at 344 N Canal Street in Fulton River District. The masonry edifice will be replaced by a 33-story mixed-use tower, under development by The Habitat Company and Diversified Real Estate Capital LLC. Just north of the Metra tracks, the project will yield a total of 343 for-rent units atop ground-level retail.
Initial caisson work can be seen at the site of West Loop‘s 1020 W Randolph Street, where L3 Capital has planned a five-story mixed-use development. At 22,000 square feet, this boutique retail and office edifice will accompany the recent wave of office developments popping up in the West Loop neighborhood.
Onni Development Group‘s 33-story residential tower at 354 N Union Avenue has now surpassed roughly the 20-floor mark. Located in the Fulton River District, the development will contain 373 apartment dwellings, from 400-square-foot studios up to 1,600-square-foot penthouses.
Exterior work is advancing closer to completion for a new eight-story building at 1140 W Erie Street in West Town. Known as Inspire West Town, this mixed-use development by Bond Companies is set to yield both ground-level commercial space and 113 rental units. There will be an affordable component to this project, with six of the on-site residences qualifying as affordable, and an additional 17 units subsidized off site. Planned layouts will fall between one- and three-bedrooms, offering attached private balconies for select units.
