Extensive foundation work and a newly installed tower crane can be seen at Northwestern Medicine Advanced Outpatient Care Center at 4445 W Irving Park Road in Old Irving Park. The parcel occupies the full block bound by W Irving Park Road, N Kenneth Avenue, and N Kilbourn Avenue.
Excavation has begun for a two-story retail addition at the site of Near North Side‘s 44 E Walton Street, directly north of the recently completed Brunello Cucinelli retail addition under the same address. Situated near the center of the Rush & Division commercial area, the entrance will be along Walton’s cross street at 939 N Rush Street.
This week, Chicago YIMBY had the opportunity to tour the 19-story mixed-use development known as 800 Fulton, one of the largest and most recent additions to the growing West Loop skyline. Tour hosts Thor Equities, Stream Realty Partners, and project architect Skidmore Owings & Merrill (SOM) showcased the various common areas throughout the building’s 500,000 square feet. Having been co-planned by Thor Equities and Quadreal and built by Lendlease, the construction process for this $95 million development spanned between 2019 and 2021. Tenant build-outs are now underway, with multiple high-profile leases for companies like John Deere and Aspen Dental Management already locked in.
At the intersection of State Parkway and Division Street, final touches can be seen for the 12-story mixed-use building known as Gild. Developed by Newcastle Limited, this Gold Coast addition at 1210 N State Parkway features 18,000 square feet of retail and 89 apartments.
Construction has reached the third floor for a four-story condominium building at 2215 N Halsted Street in Lincoln Park. Prior to construction, the project site was occupied by a two-story brick building. Developed by 2215 Halsted Glascott FLP, the nearly completed replacement will include eight total residences, along with parking for 12 vehicles. Four of the spaces are to be housed within a detached garage, while the remaining spots will be located in an underground garage.
