Excavation work has begun on the site of a six-story mixed-use building at 61 W Erie Street. Photos show construction equipment on site in preparation for the new structure in River North. The developer, LG Developer Group, has planned retail on the ground floor with 28 apartments above.
Demolition permits have been issued for a two-story frame residential building and detached frame garage, located at 4344 N Avers Avenue in Irving Park. The multi-unit property is owned by MK Construction and Builders, according to the recent filing.
Renovation work is well underway for the lobby and exterior base of an office building at 303 E Wacker Drive, located near the northwest corner of downtown’s New Eastside neighborhood.
Construction permits have been issued for a four-story mixed-used building in Lincoln Square. The owner, filed under Western Carmen Building LLC, plans retail on the first floor and 24 residential units above. The development will also feature a rooftop deck, a rooftop stair enclosure, an elevator penthouse, and deck space on the three upper floors. An integrated parking garage at ground level will include 24 total spaces.
Exterior work is nearing completion for the second and final phase of Vermillion Development‘s 55-unit residential project, known as Alcove Wicker Park at 1650 W Division Street. This newer portion comprises 12 townhomes, located just north of the Wicker Park seven-story condominium tower built in the first phase. A central courtyard will also be nestled between the buildings.
