Permit Application Submitted For 566 W Van Buren Street In West Loop Gate

Construction permits have been applied for with the city for the mixed-use development at 566 W Van Buren Street in West Loop Gate. Sitting on the corner with S Jefferson Street, the project was first announced last year when it received permits for and proceeded with the demolition of two building’s on the site. The Antunovich Associates-designed structure is being proposed by a team made up of Riverside Investment and Blue Star Properties.

Foundation Work Begins for 3914 N Lincoln Avenue in North Center

Excavation and initial foundation work is now underway for a mixed-use development at 3914 N Lincoln Avenue in the North Center neighborhood. Located on a 25,000 square-foot trapezoidal lot, the planned five-story building will span a total of 97,773 square feet and yield 68 residential units. Longford Construction is the developer while SPACE Architects + Planners is the architect. The 61-foot design is clad in limestone along the ground floor, red brick along the second to fourth floors, and dark metal paneling along the top floor. The top level is also set back from the street to allow for private outdoor terraces.

167 N Racine Avenue Proceeds With Rezoning In West Loop

The mixed-use development at 167 N Racine Avenue in the West Loop is officially moving forward as the developers have filed a zoning application. Located between W Randolph Street to the south and W Lake Street to the north, the proposal includes two existing buildings and was announced earlier this year. The project itself is being led by two brothers under the name 167 Racine LLC, with SPACE Architects + Planners serving as the designers.
