Updated Details Revealed For Phase One Of Haslted Pointe On Goose Island

Updated details have been revealed for the first phase of the Halsted Point development at 901 N Halsted Street on Goose Island. Replacing the long-standing Greyhound Bus facility which is being demolished on the southern end of the island, the new multi-tower project will sit near the upcoming permanent casino just two-blocks to the south. Canadian-based Onni Group is behind the proposal with local firms Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture and Hitchcock Design Group on the team.

City Council Approves Two Mixed-use Developments in Wicker Park

The Chicago City Council has approved two mixed-use developments at 1235 N Ashland Avenue and 1301 N Ashland Avenue in Wicker Park. Located on two separate lots just north of the intersection with N Milwaukee Avenue and across the street from Wicker Park Commons, both of the proposals will replace five-existing buildings in total dating back to the late 1800s. Grand Properties Acquisitions, LLC is behind both with local firm Hanna Architects working on their design.

Details Revealed For Fifth Third Arena Expansion in Near West Side

Potential details have been revealed for the full build-out of the Fifth Third Arena at 301 S Damen Avenue in the Near West Side. Located on the southeastern corner with W Jackson Boulevard and bound by the Eisenhower to the south, the multi-phase plan will eventually replace a vacant lot just west of the arena. The overall plan is being led and developed by the Chicago Blackhawks as they seek to begin with an arena expansion.
