Updated details have been revealed as the Chicago City Council approves partial funding for the mixed-use development at 9200 S Burley Avenue in South Chicago. The proposal is located on the southwest corner with E 92nd Street not too far from the Calumet River and the 93rd Street station of the Metra Electric line.
The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 4508 S Cottage Grove Avenue in Bronzeville. Located south of the intersection with E 45th Street, the proposal would replace a vacant lot just down the street from Bronzeville Winery. The project is being developed by local John Gruszka with AP Architects LLC having worked on its design.
Initial plans have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 1747 W Grand Avenue in West Town. Located just east of the intersection with N Wood Street adjacent to Publican Quality Bread, the building would be replacing a long term vacant lot on the quickly changing commercial corridor. The project is being developed under the name 1735 Grand LLC.
Details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 966 W 18th Street in Pilsen. Sitting right at the heart of the neighborhood’s commercial district, it’ll rise near the future home of the Paseo and recently announced affordable housing redevelopment. Developer Teo Scorte is leading the project that will replace a mid-block vacant lot.
Proposals have been revealed by the Chicago Department of Planning and Development for the Oakwood and Lake Park RFP in Bronzeville. Spread across six sites centered around the intersection of Lake Park Avenue and Oakwood Boulevard, we originally covered the RFP in detail earlier this year as it was revealed to potential bidders.
