Updated details and rendering have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 641 E 47th Street in Bronzeville. Located west of the intersection with S Langley Avenue, we first covered the proposal back in November of last year as it received City Council approval. Now it has returned with a slightly updated program and look, as it aims to replace a one-story commercial building owned and operated by the project’s developer. That would be Yasmin Curtis who runs the Two Fish Crab Shack restaurant that occupies it who selected local architects Future Firm for the design.

Groundbreaking Announced For 917 W Fulton Market In Fulton Market

A land purchase and start date have been announced for the mixed-use development at 917 W Fulton Market in Fulton Market. As a part of the greater West Loop area and occupying the full length of the block along N Sangamon Street south to W Lake Street, the structure is set to be the first office-heavy project to break ground this year in the neighborhood with changing demands. The team is being led by Fulton Street Companies, JDL and Shanna Khan, who have tapped New York-based Morris Adjmi Architects who also worked on the upcoming 900 Randolph nearby.

Plans Approved For 2222 S Michigan Avenue In Motor Row

The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use redevelopment of 2222 S Michigan Avenue in the Motor Row District. Located just south of the intersection with E Cermak Road, the development will renovate an existing slim building that runs the full-length of the block to S Wabash Avenue. The team behind the work is developer Hudson Michigan Avenue LLC who has tapped local design firm FitzGerald and RTM Engineering Consultants on the project which will be called Hudson Motor Row.
