A preliminary plan has been revealed for the future of the Mars Wrigley factory at 2019 N Oak Park Avenue in Galewood. Located on the intersection with W Armitage Avenue within the greater residential neighborhood, the factory dates back to 1929 and has seen multiple expansions over the years completing two others within the greater metro area. Now Mars is working with local residents to decide the fate of the massive multi-acre site.

Updated Completion Date Revealed For 655 W Madison Street In West Loop Gate

A more precise completion date has been revealed for the mixed-use development at 655 W Madison Street in West Loop Gate as we take a closer look at its design. Located directly next to the Kennedy Expressway in the quickly growing neighborhood, the proposal replaces a surface parking lot with a multi-phase two-tower concept. Developer John Buck Company updated their website for the HOK– and JGMA-designed project, which will be managed by local real estate firm Madison Rose which is also in charge of One Chicago.

Foundation Permit Issued for 3347 N Southport Avenue in Lake View

A foundation permit has been issued for a five-story mixed-use building planned for 3347 N Southport Avenue in Lake View. Filed under the name 3347 Southport LLC, the 22,846-square-foot project will feature 27 total units, as well as first-floor retail, a basement, and a four-vehicle garage with a rooftop deck.There will also be a bike room with 28 available slots. The structure will replace a three-story masonry mixed-use building that has since been demolished.

The 60-story Salesforce Tower is now receiving its finishing touches at 333 W Wolf Point Plaza in River North. The mixed-use, primarily office tower is a collaboration between Hines and longtime landowner, the Joseph P. Kennedy Family, marking the completion of the three-tower Wolf Point masterplan. With its 850-foot stature, the tower makes a bold statement on the northwest corner of Chicago’s skyline, and is prominently visible when approaching from the northwest along the Kennedy Expressway.
