Details have been revealed as funding has been initially approved for a new shelter at 2508 W 21st Street in Little Village. Located just east of the intersection with S Rockwell Street, the shelter will redevelop an existing industrial building sitting next to the elevated rail embankments. Efforts for the project are being led by Franciscan Outreach with LBBA serving as the architects.
Updated details have been revealed as the Chicago City Council approves partial funding for the mixed-use development at 9200 S Burley Avenue in South Chicago. The proposal is located on the southwest corner with E 92nd Street not too far from the Calumet River and the 93rd Street station of the Metra Electric line.
Zoning has been initially approved for the mixed-use developments at 3950 N Damen Avenue and 3959 N Lincoln Avenue in North Center. Earlier this year we covered the project’s revised details as it shed 40 units due to issues with the existing on-site bank, now the city’s Committee on Zoning has approved the new plans from developers Ravine Park Partners, Orchard Development, and Brinshore Development.
Updated renderings have been revealed for the upcoming mixed-use development at 3950 N Damen Avenue and 3959 N Lincoln Avenue in North Center. Late last month we shared revised plans for the two-structure development which slightly shrunk in size; we now have renderings showing the new design for both structures with a few additional details.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the initial phase of the Legends South development at 4520 S State Street in Grand Boulevard. Located on the southwest corner of the intersection with W 45th Street, the project received initial approval for its TIF funding earlier this summer which YIMBY covered here.
