Sterling Bay Announces Partnership On 160 N Morgan In The West Loop

Developer Sterling Bay has announced a partnership for its 160 N Morgan Street mixed-use development in the West Loop. The joint venture will be with Colorado-based real estate private equity firm Ascentris and will see the ground-breaking of the high-rise in the first quarter of 2022. Designed by local firm bKL Architecture on a mid-block lot that once held a drive-thru bank, the demolition of the existing building has begun with site prep expected to commence soon after.

Renderings Revealed for a Three-Building Mixed-Use Development At 1200 W Fulton Street in West Loop

Initial renderings have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 1200 W Fulton Street in the West Loop. Located on the corner with N Racine Avenue, replacing a parking lot and three existing one-story industrial buildings, the new complex would deliver three structures designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture. Developer Fulton Street Companies is partnering with Waterton, a local landlord company, and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital among others.

Between the intersections of Bronzeville‘s Bowen Avenue and 42nd Street along Cottage Grove Avenue, facade work is approaching completion for new four-story mixed-use building at 4137 S Cottage Grove Avenue. This construction by DOM Properties Investment will yield 5,200 square feet of ground-floor retail, divided into two commercial units. Topping this retail component are 48 apartment dwellings, ranging from one- to two-bedroom residences.

The Chicago Zoning Board of Appeals has approved a mixed-use development at 812 W Adams Street in Greektown. Located on the corner with S Halsted Street, the lot is currently occupied by a one-story structure that once held the Greek staples of Santorini and Pegasus restaurants and a small parking lot. Developer Luxe Suites Chicago LLC has teamed up with local design firm Axios Architects on the project that required two approvals from the board.
