Rezoning Filed For Mixed-Use Development At 2841 W Belmont Avenue In Avondale

Developer Wilmot Construction, Inc has filed a zoning change application with the Committee on Zoning for a mixed-use development at 2841 W Belmont Avenue in Avondale. Wilmot is teaming up with Hanna Architects to bring the new five-story building to the ever-growing neighborhood. Bound by W Belmont Avenue to the north and an existing one-story auto repair shop to the west, its eastern neighbor would be a new five-story residential development called The Avondale also being developed by Wilmot.

Partial Construction Permit Issued for 4611 N Broadway in Uptown

A permit has been issued for the foundation and first two floors of 4611 N Broadway, a nine-story mixed-use building planned in Uptown. Prior to construction, the site was occupied by two single-story masonry buildings, which were demolished earlier this year.

Metal Paneling Installed at 932 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market

Exterior work is rapidly approaching the finish line for a three-story mixed-use commercial redevelopment project at Fulton Market‘s 932 W Randolph Street. As part of the redevelopment, developer L3 Capital is re-skinning the former bank building and adding a new three-story addition at the northern end of the property.

A Look at the Completed 2145 S Halsted Street in Pilsen

Construction has completed for a new four-story mixed-use development at 2145 S Halsted Street in Pilsen. Developed by Vision Group Investments and situated just north of Halsted & Cermak, the building provides 1,900 square feet retail space on the ground floor, along with six apartments on the upper three floors.

Partial Construction Permit Issued for 23-Story 808 N Cleveland in Near North Side

A foundation and partial superstructure permit has been issued for a new 23-story high rise at 808 N Cleveland Avenue in Near North Side. The nearly 300,000-square-foot mixed-use building will replace a vacant lot on the block bound by Cambridge, Chicago, and Cleveland Avenues.

Foundation Work Continues for 164 N Peoria Street in Fulton Market District

Caisson and other foundation work continues for the 43-story 906 W Randolph Street, which will dramatically alter Fulton Market District‘s skyline when complete. Set to stand 495 feet in West Loop, the new edifice has been planned by Tucker Development alongside Related Midwest.

A caisson permit has now been approved for Fulton Market District‘s 166 N Aberdeen Street, where MCZ Development has planned a new 21-story mixed-use building.

4600 N Kenmore Avenue Rises Above Grade in Uptown District

Interior walls can now be seen rising above grade for 4600 N Kenmore Avenue, a five-story mixed-use building rising at the corner of Kenmore & Wilson in Uptown. The developer Cedar St. Companies has planned for 2,500 square feet of retail at the ground-level and 62 apartments on the upper floors. These units will range in size between studios and two-bedroom layouts, with select residences accommodated by private terrace space. Residents will have access to a top-level indoor lounge and connected outdoor terrace space.

Facade Work Nearly Complete at 609 W Randolph Street in West Loop Gate

Final facade work can be seen at 609 W Randolph Street, where Vista Property Group has planned a new dual-building mixed-use development. The assemblage consists of a renovated five-story masonry building, connected to a new 15-story tower in West Loop Gate. The footprint of the tower portion was previously occupied by a vacant parking lot.

West Town’s Former Morton Salt Warehouse Kicks off Mixed-Use Conversion with Roof Replacement

Photos show the roof replacement for the prominent shed portion of Chicago’s Morton Salt Warehouse Complex in West Town. This replacement is one of the first key steps in a major adaptive re-use project that will transform the complex at 1357 N Elston Avenue into an office and entertainment venue.
