Work has topped out for a new five-story mixed-use building at 4501 N Sheridan Avenue in Uptown. Planned by Mavrek Development and formerly the site of a single-story masonry commercial building, the new structure will house ground-level retail topped by a total of 59 residential apartments.

Designed by NORR, the building will be clad in a mix of materials. Behind this facade, permits have indicated that there will be steel framing on the first floor and cold-formed metal framing on the upper levels.

The nearby corner of Sheridan & Sunnyside offers bus service for Route 151 and other buses can be found just a short walk away, such as Routes 36 and 78. Additionally, the CTA L’s Purple and Red Lines are accessible at Wilson station-via a four-minute walk westward.

As of now, a full completion is expected for early next year.
