167 N Racine Avenue Proceeds With Rezoning In West Loop

The mixed-use development at 167 N Racine Avenue in the West Loop is officially moving forward as the developers have filed a zoning application. Located between W Randolph Street to the south and W Lake Street to the north, the proposal includes two existing buildings and was announced earlier this year. The project itself is being led by two brothers under the name 167 Racine LLC, with SPACE Architects + Planners serving as the designers.

The Saint Grand Nears Facade Completion in Streeterville

Facade construction for The Saint Grand at 218 E Grand Avenue in Streeterville is nearing completion. The 21-story mixed-use structure a joint project by Mavrek Development, GW Properties, Luxury Living, and Double Eagle Development. The building will have 248 apartments, 45,000 square feet of office space, and 7,500 square feet for retail.

Initial Details Revealed For Mixed-Use Development In Bronzeville

Initial details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 4547 S State Street in Bronzeville. Located just north of the intersection with E 46th Street, the new building will replace two vacant lots near the Green Line at 43rd Street station. The project is being developed by Steele Consulting Group with Guider Group LLC serving as the architects.

Plans Revealed For New Hotel In Fulton Market

Details have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 1016 W Lake Street in Fulton market. Located on the intersection with N Carpenter Street, the project would replace a surface parking lot next to a strip of townhomes facing the train tracks. The proposal is being led by a team made up of New York-based Cogswell Realty and Chicago-based Erol Stapleton, with M Moser Associates working on the design.

Demolition Permit Issued for 210 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market

The first demolition permit has now been issued for 210 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. The demolition will give rise to a 33-story mixed-use development by Newcastle Limited. This 380-foot tower will house 204 residential units: 59 studios, 18 convertibles, 72 one-bedroom units, 23 one-bedrooms with a den, and 33 two-bedrooms. Of these units, 41 will be designated as affordable for those earning 60% or below the Area Median Income (AMI).

1002 S Racine Passes Third Floor in Little Italy

Construction on the six-story mixed-use building at 1002 S Racine Avenue in Little Italy has reached the third floor. This new construction is a collaboration between Related Midwest and the Chicago Housing Authority, part of the Roosevelt Square Phase 3B plan. This phase encompasses three mixed-income apartment buildings and the new National Museum of Public Housing.

Design Iterations Revealed For Old Town Canvas Tower

Multiple design iterations have been revealed for the base of the upcoming mixed-use development at 1610 N LaSalle Drive in Old Town. Sitting right on the intersection with W North Avenue, the tower is part of the upcoming Moody Church Auditorium redevelopment proposed in 2021. The project is being led by Chicago-based developer Fern Hill, with GREC Architects working on the design from now on.

Permit Application Submitted For Halsted Pointe Phase One On Goose Island

A permit application has been entered for the mixed-use tower at 901 N Halsted Street within the upcoming Halsted Pointe development on Goose Island. Located on the southern tip of the island, the proposal will replace the existing Greyhound Bus facility which has already been mostly demolished. The permit is being pursued by Canadian-based developer Onni Group who used Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture on the design.

The Dylan Completes in Fulton Market

The Dylan, a 30-story mixed-use development at 160 North Morgan Street in Fulton Market, has completed construction and is now welcoming its first residents. The 350-foot high rise, a collaboration between Sterling Bay and Ascentris, offers a total of 282 rental apartments atop 2,657 square feet of ground-level retail.

Dual-Building Development Revealed for 6750 N Northwest Highway in Edison Park

Plans have been revealed for a new two-building development to be located at 6750 N Northwest Highway in Edison Park. RedStars Properties is behind the mixed-use proposal, which will come with a total of 80 apartment units and four retail units evenly divided between the two five-story structures.
