The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 3201 W 31st Street in Little Village. Dubbed the Focal Point Campus, the massive project will be anchored by a new facility for Saint Anthony Hospital and is located just southwest of the intersection with S Kedzie Avenue. Developer Chicago Southwest Development Corporation has partnered with local firm HDR Architecture on the 30-acre, $600 million complex.

Along Milwaukee Avenue in Portage Park, brick and glass is undergoing installation for the 10-story Clarendale Six Corners, a mixed-use residential and retail development by Ryan Companies, LCS, and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital. Under the address 4715 W Irving Park Road, the new building will house 18,000 square feet of ground-level mercantile space, 258 senior living apartments, and an array of integrated amenities.

The Chicago City Council has approved the rezoning for a mixed-use building at 3714 N Cicero Avenue in Old Irving Park. Located just north of the intersection with W Waveland Avenue, the new structure replaces a one-story commercial building built in 1956 that most recently housed a motorcycle shop. Developer G7 Investments LLC selected local architecture firm Studio Sym Design for the small neighborhood project.

Updated renderings and plans have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 640 W Washington Boulevard in West Loop Gate. Located just east of the Kennedy Expressway on the corner with N Des Plaines Street, the tower will replace a surface parking lot as downtown density pushes west. Miami-based developer Crescent Heights, the company behind other recent Chicago skyscrapers including Nema in the South Loop, has partnered with local design firm Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture on the slim skyscraper.
