The Arlington 425 project in downtown Arlington Heights has recently received a six-month construction-related extension from the Village Board. The extension, approved on April 15, extends the deadline for the proposed mixed-use development from May 3 to November 3. The development will eventually contain a combined total of 319 residential units and approximately 7,500 square feet of commercial space alongside 479 parking spots.
New details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 6750 N Northwest Highway in Edison Park. Sitting just north of the intersection with N Oshkosh Avenue, the two-structure proposal will replace the former M.J. Surety Funeral Home and its parking lot. The project is being led by developer Valdir Barion.
The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 455 N Carpenter Street in West Town. Sitting just north of the West Loop along Grand Avenue, the proposal would replace a pair of existing buildings. Local-developer Range Group is leading the project with HPA working on its design.
The Chicago City Council has sanctioned a $25 million bond for The Ave, a multi-family housing project. The Ave, which won the Chicago Ave Invest South/West RFP site in late 2021, will be situated at 3601 W. Chicago, replacing the existing Neighborhood Housing Services office and a city-owned commercial building. The project, led by KMW Communities, POAH, and CEC, will be a four-story structure housing 52 affordable apartments, a Neighborhood Housing Services space, an innovation center, 16,000 square feet of retail space, and a ground-floor parking area for 32 vehicles.
Details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 2328 S Michigan Avenue in Motor Row. Sitting just south of the intersection with E 23rd Street, the proposal will replace a former Burger King location. This is being led by local developer Fern Hill, who is also behind Old Town Canvas, with Eckenhoff Saunders working on its design.
