Construction on the six-story mixed-use building at 1002 S Racine Avenue in Little Italy has reached the third floor. This new construction is a collaboration between Related Midwest and the Chicago Housing Authority, part of the Roosevelt Square Phase 3B plan. This phase encompasses three mixed-income apartment buildings and the new National Museum of Public Housing.
Multiple design iterations have been revealed for the base of the upcoming mixed-use development at 1610 N LaSalle Drive in Old Town. Sitting right on the intersection with W North Avenue, the tower is part of the upcoming Moody Church Auditorium redevelopment proposed in 2021. The project is being led by Chicago-based developer Fern Hill, with GREC Architects working on the design from now on.
A permit application has been entered for the mixed-use tower at 901 N Halsted Street within the upcoming Halsted Pointe development on Goose Island. Located on the southern tip of the island, the proposal will replace the existing Greyhound Bus facility which has already been mostly demolished. The permit is being pursued by Canadian-based developer Onni Group who used Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture on the design.
The Dylan, a 30-story mixed-use development at 160 North Morgan Street in Fulton Market, has completed construction and is now welcoming its first residents. The 350-foot high rise, a collaboration between Sterling Bay and Ascentris, offers a total of 282 rental apartments atop 2,657 square feet of ground-level retail.
Plans have been revealed for a new two-building development to be located at 6750 N Northwest Highway in Edison Park. RedStars Properties is behind the mixed-use proposal, which will come with a total of 80 apartment units and four retail units evenly divided between the two five-story structures.
