Clarendale Six Corners Tops Out in Portage Park

Structural work has reached full height for a new mixed-use senior living development known as Clarendale Six Corners, located at 4715 W Irving Park Road in Portage Park.
Remaining facade pieces are undergoing installation at The Bentham, a 14-story retail and condominium building that is now wrapping up at 146 W Erie Street in River North. Sedgwick Development is acting as the developer, architect, and general contractor for the project, which will provide 2,556 square feet of retail and 31 condominiums. Beginning at just over $1 million, each condominium will house three bedrooms and three bathrooms, and will come with open floor plans, floor-to-ceiling windows, private elevator access, and private balconies.
Last week, Chicago YIMBY had the opportunity to tour JDL Development‘s two-tower megadevelopment known as One Chicago, located at the northeast corner of River North. At 2.1 million square feet, the mixed-use project will yield a combination of 55,000 square feet of office space, 812 residential units, restaurant and banquet space, and a new 65,000-square-foot Whole Foods at its base.
Since last month’s update, structural work has topped out for 1400 W Randolph Street, a 282-foot tall mixed-use high rise at the western edge of Fulton Market in West Loop. Marquette Companies is the developer of the 26-story project, with plans for 278 rental units and 10,000 square feet of retail at its ground floor.
Demolition is now complete at the future site of Madison + Carpenter, a planned six-story development to be located at 6 N Carpenter Street in West Loop. ZSD is the developer of the mixed-use building, which will yield ground-level retail and 13 condominiums on its upper five floors. The site was previously occupied by four low-rise commercial buildings.
