Second Phase of The Sally Begins Cladding in Uptown

The mixed-use development at 1131-1135 W Winona Street in Uptown, known as ‘The Sally,’ is progressing with construction already completed for 1135 W Winona Street and facade work underway for 1131 W Winona Street. Developed by Cedar St. Companies, The Sally comprises two five-story buildings, collectively offering 180 units ranging in size from studios to two-bedroom configurations, including 37 affordable residences. This complex represents the second phase of ‘The Draper,’ the initial phase of which houses 342 units and is located just south at 5050 N Broadway.

Piling Begins for 1630 S Wabash Avenue in South Loop

Foundation work has begun for a 12-story building at 1630 South Wabash Avenue in South Loop, with pilings now being installed. This mixed-use development by CMK Companies, replacing a vacant lot directly east of the CTA tracks, will feature 149 rental units above ground-floor retail. A permit for the foundation and partial superstructure was issued in late October, followed by the issuance of the full permit in early December.

New Renderings Revealed For 370 N Carpenter Street In West Loop

Renderings have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 370 N Carpenter Street in the West Loop. Developer Sterling Bay held a community meeting for the project earlier this week where we received a first look at what the finished product may look like. Sitting on the intersection with W Kinzie Street, the project replaces a small industrial building with a new tower designed by HPA.

Cladding Nears Completion for 1800 W Berenice in North Center

With most of the cladding now in place, facade installation continues to progress for a six-story mixed-use building located at 1800 W Berenice Avenue in North Center. The project, managed by Landrosh Development and designed by Sullivan Goulette Wilson Architects, stands 80 feet tall, spans nearly 60,000 square feet, and occupies a 12,191-square-foot site.

Updated Apartment Tower Plans Revealed for 220 N Ada Street in Fulton Market

Updated plans have been presented for a 29-story apartment tower at 220 N Ada Street in Fulton Market. This mixed-use project is a joint venture between Shapack Partners, CRG, and Bill Williams of KMW Communities, LLC. An updated iteration of the previously proposed 1353 W Fulton, the new tower is intended to occupy a 27,244 square-foot plot, currently the site of a one-story warehouse that is expected to be demolished next month.

Foundation Work Continues for 3914 N Lincoln Avenue in North Center

Foundation work continues for a new mixed-use building at 3914 N Lincoln Avenue in the North Center neighborhood. The project, situated on a 25,000-square-foot trapezoidal lot, will result in a five-story structure encompassing 97,773 square feet and include 68 residential units. Longford Construction is responsible for the development, with architectural design by SPACE Architects + Planners.

Developers Move Forward With Lawrence Gateway At 2919 W Lawrence Avenue in Ravenswood Manor

Developers are moving forward with the mixed-use development at 2919 W Lawrence Avenue in Ravenswood Manor. Sitting across the street from Ronan Park on the intersection with N Manor Avenue, updated details for the project were revealed a few months ago. Now developers MAS Ventures LLC and Malek Abdulsamad have submitted a zoning application for the Wight & Company designed building.

The construction of The Couture, a 44-story mixed-use skyscraper at 909 E Michigan Street in Milwaukee, has nearly reached its full height. Barrett Lo Visionary Development oversees this project, which will stand at 507 feet on completion, making it Wisconsin’s fourth tallest building and its highest primarily residential structure.

New Details Revealed For Affordable Development At 2525 N Kedzie Boulevard

New details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 2525 N Kedzie Boulevard in Logan Square. Located on the intersection with N Linden Place and just south of the main square, the site currently holds a parking lot and City Lit Books within a one-story commercial space. Currently no renderings have been publicized for the project that’s being developed by Bickerdike Redevelopment.

Sister Cities: 333 North Water Street Tops Out in Milwaukee’s Third Ward District

The construction of 333 North Water Street in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward has reached its full height. This mixed-use building, developed by Hines, will be the tallest in the neighborhood at 342 feet and 31 floors, encompassing a total area of 374,000 square feet.
