The Saint Grand Finalizes Construction at #12 in Year-End Countdown

The Saint Grand, ranked as the 12th project in our yearly countdown of the tallest construction projects, is nearing the completion of its facade construction at 218 E Grand Avenue in Streeterville. This 21-story mixed-use building is a collaboration between Mavrek Development, GW Properties, Luxury Living, and Double Eagle Development, offering 248 residential units, 45,000 square feet of office space, and 7,500 square feet for retail purposes. NORR designed the 238-foot structure, characterized by its modern facade of dark metal and glass and distinctive columns of protruding glass balconies.

Details Revealed For Mixed-Use Development At 3318 W Montrose Avenue In Albany Park

Details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 3318 W Montrose Avenue in Albany Park. Located on the northeast corner with N Christiana Avenue, the project would replace a vacant lot near the Kimball Brown Line stop. The proposal is being brought forward by Yuriy Chvyrenko with Hanna Architects working on its design.

Facade Progresses for 812 W Adams Street in West Loop

Since our last update, facade work has made significant progress on a seven-story mixed-use building at 812 W Adams Street in the West Loop. The project by Luxe Suites Chicago, has finished its structural phase and is now focusing on exterior development. Upon completion, the building will offer 80 residential units and 4,200 square feet of retail space.

The construction of a new 19-story mixed-use development, named Coppia, is advancing towards completion at 1101 W Van Buren Street in the West Loop area. The project, overseen by Pizzuti Development, occupies a previously vacant lot, bordered by residential buildings.

Groundbreaking Held For Grace Manor In North Lawndale

A groundbreaking has been held for the mixed-use affordable development at 3401 W Ogden Avenue in North Lawndale. Known as ‘Grace Manor’, the proposal will rise on the corner with S Homan Avenue and replace a parking lot commonly used by the nearby police station. The project is being led by co-developers East Lake Management and Jerusalem CDC, with local architecture firm JGMA having worked on its design.

Nearly-Complete 311 W Huron Secures 15th Spot in Year-End Countdown

The construction of a 16-story mixed-use building at 311 W Huron Street in the River North neighborhood is nearing the completion of its facade. Ranked number 15 in our construction countdown, this building, developed by North Wells Capital, is now topped out at 226 feet tall. Designed primarily for office spaces, it will also accommodate 8,482 square feet of retail space.

Hyde Park Labs’ Steel Structure Ascends, Securing #17 Spot in Building Countdown

Steel is making its way up Hyde Park Labs, a 13-story building within the Harper Court Complex in Hyde Park. Ranking 17th in our countdown, this 215-feet-tall mixed-use development, located at 5201 S Harper Avenue, is a collaboration between The University of Chicago, Trammell Crow Company, and Beacon Capital Partners. Having topped out its core earlier this year, the $225 million project will offer 302,000 square feet of space. The structure is primarily intended for STEM-focused companies and includes lab and office areas, as well as 4,000 square feet designated for retail and various tenant amenities.

Arthur on Aberdeen Ranks #18 in Year-End Countdown

Set to open soon, the ‘Arthur on Aberdeen’ at 210 N Aberdeen Street has entered its final phase of facade completion. This 19-story, mixed-use building Fulton Market stands out as the 18th highlight in our year-end roundup. Developed by LG Development Group, the 214-foot structure occupies an L-shaped lot and spans 406,000 square feet.

919 W Fulton Takes 19th in Construction Countdown

The tower crane is being installed for 919 W Fulton, an 11-story mixed-use development in Fulton Market. Under development by Fulton St. Co and JDL, the building ranks number 19 in our year-end countdown of the tallest construction projects in Chicago, with a height of 172 feet. Offering 409,000 square feet of space, it is primarily designed to accommodate office space above ground-floor retail.

The Thompson at Fulton Market Finalizes Construction as #22 in Year-End Countdown

Ranked 22nd in our annual tallest construction project list, The Thompson at Fulton Market is a 12-story building at 150 N Ashland Avenue, across from Union Park. Nearing the end of construction, this 154-foot development by Marquette Companies merges modern design with historical architecture, integrating a 1920s five-story brick building into its south side.
