City Council Approves 370-401 N Morgan Street In West Loop

The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 370-401 N Morgan Street in the West Loop. centered around the intersection with W Kinzie Street, the three-tower proposal will replace a handful of existing buildings near the railroad tracks. Developer Vista Property is moving forward with gathering all necessary approvals for the Gensler-designed project which received Plan Commission approval earlier this year.

Financing Initially Approved For United Yards Development In Back Of The Yards

Financing has been initially approved for the United Yards development at 1515 W 47th Street in Back of the Yards. Centered around the intersection with S Ashland Avenue and bringing a mix of new construction and redevelopment, the project is part of the Invest South/West initiative and will be built in phases. Developers Celadon Partners and Blackwood Group worked with local architecture firm DesignBridge on the overall proposal.

1257 W Roosevelt Road Continues to Rise in Little Italy

Construction at 1257 W Roosevelt Road in Little Italy has now reached its fourth floor, with Related Midwest and the Chicago Housing Authority overseeing the development. The six-story mixed-use structure is part of the broader Roosevelt Square Phase 3B project, which includes three other buildings. This project offers a combination of homes, shops, and the soon-to-open National Museum of Public Housing. Once finished, Roosevelt Square will have 2,441 housing units for both single and multi-family living.

Plans Revealed For Fern Hill Development In Old Town

Plans have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 1610 N LaSalle Drive in Old Town. Located on the intersection with W North Avenue, the multi-site project was originally announced in 2021 centered around the Moody Church Auditorium. Chicago-based developer Fern Hill is behind the proposal, however it will appear the team from David Adjaye is no longer involved in the design with GREC Architects taking over.
