Details have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 1016 W Lake Street in Fulton market. Located on the intersection with N Carpenter Street, the project would replace a surface parking lot next to a strip of townhomes facing the train tracks. The proposal is being led by a team made up of New York-based Cogswell Realty and Chicago-based Erol Stapleton, with M Moser Associates working on the design.

Demolition Permit Issued for 210 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market

The first demolition permit has now been issued for 210 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. The demolition will give rise to a 33-story mixed-use development by Newcastle Limited. This 380-foot tower will house 204 residential units: 59 studios, 18 convertibles, 72 one-bedroom units, 23 one-bedrooms with a den, and 33 two-bedrooms. Of these units, 41 will be designated as affordable for those earning 60% or below the Area Median Income (AMI).

Design Iterations Revealed For Old Town Canvas Tower

Multiple design iterations have been revealed for the base of the upcoming mixed-use development at 1610 N LaSalle Drive in Old Town. Sitting right on the intersection with W North Avenue, the tower is part of the upcoming Moody Church Auditorium redevelopment proposed in 2021. The project is being led by Chicago-based developer Fern Hill, with GREC Architects working on the design from now on.

Permit Application Submitted For Halsted Pointe Phase One On Goose Island

A permit application has been entered for the mixed-use tower at 901 N Halsted Street within the upcoming Halsted Pointe development on Goose Island. Located on the southern tip of the island, the proposal will replace the existing Greyhound Bus facility which has already been mostly demolished. The permit is being pursued by Canadian-based developer Onni Group who used Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture on the design.
