Developer Unveils Plans for 420 N May Street to West Loop Neighbors

Updated plans have been revealed for the mixed-use skyscraper at 420 N May Street in the West Loop. Located on the northwest corner with W Kinzie Street, the proposal will replace a couple of existing structures and their adjacent parking lot. Miami-based developer Crescent Heights presented the HPA-designed plans to the community at a meeting earlier this week. The developer also recently placed the parcel earmarked for NEMA phase II in the South Loop for sale.

1649 N Halsted in Lincoln Park Approved by Plan Commission

The mixed-use development for 1649 N Halsted Street in Lincoln Park has received approval from the Chicago Plan Commission. Draper & Kramer is behind this initiative to replace the Royal George Theater and its neighboring structure atop the 0.8-acre site. Envisioned by SGW Architecture & Design, the project will see the rise of a nine-story building with a top floor dedicated to amenity areas and open rooftop space.

Construction Continues On 4735 N Western Avenue In Lincoln Square

Construction continues on the mixed-use redevelopment of 4735 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. Located just north of the CTA Brown Line at Western station and near the intersection with W Lawrence Avenue, plans to renovate much of the building were revealed earlier this year along the changing corridor. Developer Rany Management is behind the project and worked with local firm Kennedy Mann Architects on its design.
