Construction is imminent for a 12-story office development at 237 N Aberdeen Street in Fulton Market, as fencing is installed and foundations permits are approved. The lot, also addressed as 1043 W Fulton Market, is bound between N Aberdeen Street and N Carpenter Street. The Morgan CTA L station, serviced by the Green and Pink Lines, can be accessed by a three-minute walk. The 8 CTA bus route, accessed at the Halsted & Fulton Market stop, is a seven-minute walk from the property. Fulton Street Companies is in charge of the development.

Exterior Work Underway on Topped-Off Bentham Chicago in River North

Exterior work is well underway at the 15-story Bentham Chicago, located near the center of the River North neighborhood. Designed and developed by Sedgwick Development, the 172-foot-tall building at 146 W Erie Street will house retail in its base and 31 condominium units above.

Permits Issued for Mixed-Use Development at 1839 W Irving Park Road in North Center

Permits have been issued for a new four-story mixed-use development at 1839 W Irving Park Road in North Center. The site is an interior lot between N Wolcott Avenue and N Ravenswood Avenue. The Irving Park CTA L station, serviced by the Brown Line, is a two-minute walk away. Derrig 1839 Irving LLC, likely an LLC for Derrig Management, is behind the project.

First Windows Installed on 551 W Elm Street at Near North Side’s Parkside Development

Window installation has begun at 551 W Elm Street, where a seven-story mixed-use building has been co-developed by Parkside Four Phase II, LP and Holsten. According to construction permits issued December 2019, the Near North Side project will include 69 residential units, as well as additional office and community space.

The project site is a full block lot, bounded by Metra tracks to the north, N May Street to the east, W Kinzie Street to the south, and N Racine Avenue to the west. The property owner, listed under Bartlomiej Przyjemski, has planned retail on the first floor, with 24 residential units above. Additional features will include a 12-car garage, a 12-bike storage room, and 12 exterior parking stalls.

Chicago Plan Commission Approves Mixed-Use Development at 1623 N Halsted Street in Old Town

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a seven-story mixed-use development at 1623 N Halsted Street in Old Town. Located along N Halsted Street, between W Concord Place and W Willow Street, the site is an interior lot directly adjacent to the CTA Brown Line tracks. The North/Clybourn CTA L station, serviced by the Red Line, can be reached within a two-minute walk. The 8, 9, and 72 CTA bus routes can be accessed at the corner of W North Avenue and N Halsted Street, also within a two-minute walk from the site. JDL Development and Logan Ventures are in charge of the development.
