Cassidy on Canal Passes 14th Floor in Fulton River District

Construction on the 33-story mixed-use tower dubbed “Cassidy on Canal” has surpassed the 14th level in the Fulton River District. Located at 350 N Canal Street, the 375-foot-tall high rise will contain 343 apartments and approximately 1,300 square feet of retail space. The project is a joint effort between The Habitat Company and Diversified Real Estate Capital LLC, and is replacing the former five-story Cassidy Tire Building.

Chicago YIMBY’s Sister Cities series continues as we take a look at the newest building rising to redefine the skyline of Milwaukee. Located at 909 E Michigan Street on the intersection with N Lincoln Memorial Drive in downtown, ‘The Couture’ replaces the previous Downtown Transit Center and is directly across the street from the lakefront and Summerfest grounds. Vista Property Group and Antunovich Associates, who have previously collaborated on projects at 741 N Wells and 609 W Randolph, are the driving force behind this new development, employing a similar industrial-inspired design approach.

The Chicago City Council has granted final approval for the mixed-use development at 415 N Sangamon Street in West Loop’s Fulton Market, following February’s approval by the Chicago Plan Commission. Situated at the northeast corner of the intersection with W Kinzie Street, the project will showcase a green design and high-tech facade. Fortem Voluntas Partners, the developer behind the proposal, is forging ahead with this angular tower, which was designed by the Chicago-based firm Eckenhoff Saunders Architects.
