Plan Commission Approves Mixed-Use Development at 1227 W Washington Boulevard in West Loop

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a mixed-use development at 1227 W Washington Boulevard in West Loop. Nestled in between two existing brick buildings housing a Goodwill store and various dental offices, the building’s main entrance will face W Washington Boulevard and be a five-minute walk from the McDonald’s global headquarters on W Randolph Street. The $100 million project is being developed by DAC Developments, LLC and designed by Pappageorge Haymes.

Plan Commission Approves Mixed-Use Rehabilitation At 4712 W Irving Park Road In Portage Park

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a mixed-use rehabilitation at 4712 W Irving Park Road in Portage Park. Bound by N Cicero Avenue to the west and across the street from the upcoming 4747 W Irving Park Road, the project will rehabilitate and add on to an existing Sears department store which has occupied the site since 1938. The $90 million dollar rehabilitation of the historic store is being led by Six Corners Real Estate Development LLC and is part of a greater economic development effort to attract more businesses and diversify the area.

1371 W Randolph Street Rises Above Grade in West Loop

Structural work can be seen rising at West Loop‘s 1371 W Randolph Street, where the Plumbers Local Union 130 and the Chicago Title & Trust Company have planned a new parking and retail structure. The new seven-story development will encompass the latest addition to the union’s campus, which is bound by Randolph and Ada Streets, and Washington Boulevard. Parking will provide 502 new spaces and slots for 36 bikes, as well as the additional commercial space that will include a terrace on the third floor.
