Exterior work has now reached the sixth floor for a 10-story mixed-use building in Bronzeville known as 43Green. Bordering the intersection of Calumet & 43rd Street under the address 4308 S Calumet Avenue, this 96,000 square-foot project is easily one of the neighborhood’s largest new construction projects. Developers P3 Markets and The Habitat Company have scoped out 99 for-rent apartment units atop 5,000 square feet of ground-level retail.
Developer Sterling Bay has revealed the design for the second tower on its 1300 W Carroll Avenue project site, formerly the site of the Archer Daniels Wheat Mill in West Loop’s Fulton Market District. The rendering has been presented on the marketing website for 1200 W Carroll Avenue, a 14-story office building that Sterling Bay plans to construct first just one block to the east.

Today we are covering the new renderings released for the massive mixed-use Hudson’s Site development at 1208 Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit. Located on the intersection with Grand River Avenue across the street from Detroit-native watchmaker Shinola’s Hotel, the new tower will become the city’s second tallest building behind the famed Renaissance Center. Local developer Bedrock Detroit is working along side of New York-based SHoP Architects on the design of the game-changing skyscraper.
Initial details have been revealed for an upcoming mixed-use development at 353-363 E 51st Street in Washington Park. Located just west of the intersection with S Martin Luther King Drive on the northwest corner of the aforementioned park, the new project will redevelop a pair of existing structures varying in heights that have sat vacant for nearly 10 years now. Led by a joint venture made up of locals and co-developers Corey Gilkey and James Daughrity called Policy Kings, the duo is working with a local design firm on the new concept that will revitalize the corner.
