Situated on the northeast corner of Ashland and Le Moyne Street, that’s been the home for decades of Arandas Tire & Rims. Top of the Second Underway At Sheffield Avenue Demolition Trio Next To Wrigley Field

The tiered seating has been torn from the rooftop at 3633 North Sheffield Avenue in Wrigleyville, as demolition gets underway for the second of three buildings just beyond Wrigley Field’s right field bleachers. 3631 North Sheffield, famous for the TORCO sign that adorned its rooftop, has already been torn down. To its south, 3627 North Sheffield will meet the same fate, though its demolition permit has not yet been issued. 3633 met its fate after a demo permit was issued April 23rd.

Tower Crane Base Planted At 370 North Morgan In Fulton Market

Another new tower crane will soon adorn the Fulton Market sky, as the base has been planted for a rig at 370 North Morgan. A permit to set a foundation for the crane was issued way back in January, calling for a free standing Potain MD509 – M20 unit. The base section and its distinct red color are barely visible above the top of the housing built around it as protection from passing construction equipment. It will rise from the northwest corner of the site, at the intersection of Carpenter and Kinzie Streets.
