Aberdeen Crossing Tops Out At Seven Stories In West Town

The residential building at 1100 West Grand Avenue in West Town is now topped out at its ultimate seven-story height. The 99-unit Aberdeen Crossing, from Wildwood Investments, was turned over to general contractor Contemporary Concepts last week by concrete contractor Adjustable Concrete, according to a post they published on LinkedIn. The concrete frame took them 10 weeks to complete. A visit just six weeks ago showed progress had reached the second story.

Two Units Take Shape At 1124 West Addison Street In Wrigleyville

A three-story, two-unit residential building has topped out just west of Wrigley Field at 1124 West Addison Street in Wrigleyville. G Alan Development Group removed a single-family home from the site in the winter after receiving a demolition permit for the two-story structure in November. That was followed up by the new construction permit, which was issued February 5th with a reported construction cost of an even $1 million.

First Of Two Three-Flats Permitted On West Gladys Avenue On Near West Side

The first of a pair of three-flats has been permitted to begin construction at 2418 West Gladys Avenue on the Near West Side. A second permit, for 2416 West Gladys, is pending in the Chicago Data Portal, and will leave just one vacant parcel remaining on the large vacant lot. Issued on May 23 after an application on March 13, the new permit carries a reported construction cost of $300,000.

Afinity Reaches Its Ultimate Height At 3037 North Lincoln Avenue In Lake View

Afinity, a 15-unit condominium development at 3037 North Lincoln Avenue in Lake View, has been bricked up to its full four-story height. Developer and general contractor Promised Land Development got a permit to build here back in September of last year, and they worked throughout the winter on the project. A permit came through on May 7th of this year allowing them to install the passenger elevator. The September permit came with a reported construction cost of just under $7.6 million.
