A foundation permit was issued Friday to allow Loyola University to begin construction on the new Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and the College of Arts and Sciences. Addressed in the permit as 1144 West Loyola Avenue in Rogers Park, this is the former home of Campion Hall, which was demolished last year for the new facility. The construction site occupies the entire east side of the block spanning 6550 to 6600 North Sheridan Road between Albion and Loyola Avenues, one block north of the Loyola Red Line platform.

Exterior work on the residential floors of Aberdeen Crossing appears to be complete, leaving just ground-level finishes remaining. Wildwood Investments and Contemporary Concepts are bringing a seven-story, 99-unit apartment building online at 1100 West Grand Avenue in West Town, and after receiving a caisson permit in August 2024 and breaking ground two months later, the finish line appears to be in sight.

Next Phase Of The Trieuth Permitted For Construction On North Lincoln Avenue In Lincoln Square

A new construction permit issued by the City of Chicago on January 28 will allow the next phase of development for The Trieuth at Lincoln Square at 5029 North Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square. The permit had been pending in the Chicago Data Portal since August 2024 after zoning applications were submitted in December 2023, when the first two six-unit buildings at 5015 and 5019 North Lincoln were under construction. It comes through now with a reported cost of $5 million.
