A permit for new construction has been issued for 1355 North Dean Street in Wicker Park. Variable Properties LLC submitted an application for the development on April 28, and it came through on December 1st with a reported cost of $1.6 million.
A busy South Side development team has landed permission for another multi-unit residential building in the Woodlawn neighborhood. A permit came through from the City of Chicago on December 9 allowing the entity of Bronzeville 777 LLC to construct a two-story plus basement, three-unit development at 6340 South Ingleside Avenue. They filed their application on July 22, with the permit citing a reported cost of $722,400.
A permit has been issued, and one remains pending, to rescue and renovate two vintage multiunit residential building on North Drake Avenue in Humboldt Park. A fire reported at 636 North Drake in April of last year also damaged the home next door at 634 North Drake. Street View images show both buildings boarded up.
Getting around in the River West neighborhood is a chore these days. That’s all thanks to the ambitious project underway to rebuild the Halsted Street viaduct and replace the Chicago Avenue Bridge over the river.
Three permits issued on December 2 will allow construction on a vacant corner lot at South Prairie Avenue and East 46th Street in Grand Boulevard. 4603, 4605, and 4607 South Prairie will all be three-story, three-unit buildings. Permit applications were all filed on September 22, and all three were issued on December 2 with reported costs of $440,000 apiece.
