A permit has been issued by the City of Chicago allowing construction on an affordable development at 4531 West Washington Boulevard in West Garfield Park. Corinth Temple Church of God, together with United For Better Living, applied for a permit to build C.A.R.E. Manor back in March 2024; it came through on November 13 with a reported cost of $15 million.
A large, long-vacant lot along West Addison Street in Dunning will be improved with new residential building, thanks to a newly-issued construction permit. The city granted its approval for 3555-3557 North Neenah, a three-story plus basement, six-unit building, on November 18. The application date was August 14, and the permit came through with a reported cost of $1.35 million.
A new construction permit has been issued for a vacant lot at 2863 West 21st Street in Little Village. The permit allows a three-story, nine-unit residential building on a corner lot formed by the north-south alley perpendicular to 21st Street. The application was filed on February 14 of this year, and it came through on November 13 with a reported cost of $1.1 million.
The surface parking lot at 310 West Huron Street has been cleared of cars and is now surrounded by construction fencing in River North. Machines from Precision Excavation are on site tearing up the asphalt surface as site prep gets underway for ZSD Corp’s new residential development.
The podium is poured, and concrete is setting for the seventh level of the 34-story hotel tower at Bally’s Casino at Erie Street and the Chicago River in River West. At the north end of the tower, setup of the construction hoist is in place as a housing to cover the loading dock is built out.
