Construction progress has reached the third floor on a four-story plus basement residential building at 1150 West Diversey Parkway on the south edge of Lake View. JEK Development of Glen Ellyn is erecting two units here, likely condominiums, and will add a two-car garage at the rear of the property once structural work is mostly complete on the residences.
A demolition permit that had been pending since the end of March has come through for 2415 West Cortland Street in Logan Square, clearing the site for redevelopment. TBBM Management LLC of South Beloit is the recipient of the permit, which was issued on May 20. Forge Excavation & Demolition of Bannockburn is named as the demo contractor at a reported cost of $18,000.
Another batch of townhomes has been permitted on a Bridgeport lot that has already seen two rows of homes erected. Skyriver Throop Development LLC got a permit on May 18 to erect nine connected townhomes at 2631 South Throop Street, a permit they submitted an application for on April 1, just 49 days prior. It comes with a reported cost of $1.15 million.
A three-flat has been permitted for construction at 1750 West 19th Street in the Pilsen neighborhood. Coming through with a reported cost of $650,00, the permit shows an application start date of March 20 and an issuance date of May 4, a wait in the data portal of 45 days.
Dinkel’s Lofts, the residential development that will repurpose the front façade and neon blade sign adorning the Dinkel’s Bakery building in the West Lakeview neighborhood, has permission to begin construction. The permit, issued on May 18 to the address of 3329 North Lincoln Avenue, calls for a seven-story structure with 42 dwelling units, and mentions specifically that the historic façade is to remain. There is also a contingency plan for saving the façade on the building to the south of the bakery, at 3327 North Lincoln.
