A long-vacant lot just a few doors north of the 606 trail in Logan Square has been permitted for a two-unit building by the City of Chicago. 1811 North Whipple Street will be a two-story plus basement, two unit building, most likely condos based on the $720,000 reported cost. The permit application date is September 20, 2024, and it was issued on July 31 of this year.

Construction Begins For Residential Development At 4309 North Lincoln In North Center

Foundation work is underway for a new residential development at 4309 North Lincoln Avenue in North Center. A small retail plaza on the site was torn down in the spring, but the back wall against the alley was retained. The demolition permit also called for keeping a “Flexi-Core” basement level intact. That level is difficult to discern from the sidewalk, but the rear wall was definitely left whole.
