Masonry work on the front façade of the first floor indicates this will be bricked in as it goes up, highlighting brick and limestone markings on the courtyard-style apartment building and its west-facing bay windows.

Cipher Construction LLC is named as the general contractor, and is registered to the same Oak Park address as the listed owner of the property. The application to build was filed on March 28, and it came through on May 29 with a reported construction cost of $600,000.

The application for the three-story plus basement, two-unit building was filed on April 11 and the permit came through on June 5th showing a reported construction cost of $750,000.
Permission has been granted by the city to begin construction on a three-story plus basement, three-unit building at 1073 West Polk Street in Little Italy. It is the first replacement for a pair of 1880s-era homes that were permitted for demolition in March for redevelopment. The entity of 1073 W Polk LLC, registered to an address in Orland Park, is the developer. The permit application was filed on March 5th, and it came through on June 3rd with a reported construction cost just under $1.1 million.
Northwestern University and Power Construction have erected a tower crane to construct a new building along the Lake Michigan waterfront in Evanston. The seven-story, 242,000-square-foot Kellogg Education Center is now under construction, with foundation work currently in progress.
