The Greenview Collection, a row of three stand-alone, single-family homes spanning 4454-4458 North Greenview Avenue in Uptown, appears very close to being move-in ready. We’ve been following progress here since the former First Spanish Christian Church was demolished in January to clear the site for redevelopment. Longford Construction is both the developer and general contractor here. Stoneberg + Gross Architects designed the homes.

A mixed-use building under construction at 3122 South Morgan Street continues its progress in Bridgeport. General contractor Jian Xin Construction got a building permit from the City of Chicago on October 27 of last year, allowing for the completion of two residential units over a ground-level commercial space.

Exterior construction progress has progressed through all four stories for 3951 North Wayne Avenue in the Wrigleyville neighborhood. Vivify Construction demolished a singly-story BK restaurant to redevelop the site, and they’ve brought the residential project up to its ultimate height in the northernmost reaches of the Lake View Community Area.

The concrete foundation has been set for the a three-unit residential building at 1313 West Wrightwood Avenue in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Drimnagh Development, as both the developer and general contractor, is building a four-story with basement condominium building here, having already demolished the frame house previously on the site.

Construction of a single-story standalone restaurant is nearing completion at 564 West Taylor Street in the West Loop. The corner site will be the newest Chicago location of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, the fast-serve chain based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This property had been vacant for several years following the demolition of a deteriorated one-story masonry building.

Update On Demolition For TimeLine Theatre at 5035 North Broadway in Uptown

Partial demolition of the former W. C. Reebie and Brother storage building at 5035 North Broadway in Uptown has left only the rearmost portion of the structure still standing. The gutted skeleton of the five-floor building is all that remains, and even that has gaping holes in the roof and back wall, exposing it to the sky. What remains of this partial demo will be used as office spaces and to anchor the forthcoming development.

A new construction permit has been issued for the residential building coming to 455 North Carpenter Street in West Town. Demolition of the former Allied Valve Industries facility wrapped up earlier this month, leaving a blank slate for developer Range Group to get started on their 72-unit project.

The residential tower at 1723 South Michigan Avenue in the South Loop has topped out at 12 stories. While the 10 upper levels contain 149 rental units, the two-story podium will hold 89 parking spaces and ground-level retail space.

1130 South Wabash Avenue in the South Loop is close to being completely demolished. All five levels, and the basement, are still visible, but only at the rear of the structure. The rest has been reduced to rubble and piles of scrap.

Two-Story, Two-Unit Home Is Under Construction At 3354 South Wallace Street in Bridgeport

A new two-story, two-unit home is being built at 3354 South Wallace Street in Bridgeport. It takes the place of an empty parcel on this busy residential side street on Chicago’s South Side. The permit was issued by the City of Chicago on February 24 of this year.
