Renovation Permit Issued To Transform Jefferson Park’s St. Cornelius Church Into Pickleball Facility

A permit was issued on May 15 to convert the former St. Cornelius Church building at 5430 West Foster Avenue in Jefferson Park into an indoor pickleball facility. Dink Enterprises of Park Ridge, IL is the recipient of the permit, which shows a reported construction cost of $1.5 million. Edward Torrez of Arda Design is named as the architect of record, with Vero Design  Build LLC handling general contractor duties.

Bally’s Casino Lands A Tower Crane Permit As Construction Resumes

Caisson crews are back in action at the Bally’s Chicago Casino construction site in River West, and now they have a tower crane permit to work with too. Permission for a free-standing Potain MD-485 came through on May 16 after an application was filed on April 9th. The Chicago Community Builders Collective is the official general contractor conglomerate for the casino project, though Gilbane Building Company and McHugh Concrete are named on the permit as the lead contractors.

3244 West Bryn Mawr residential conversion permitted

Renovation Permit Issued As 3244 West Bryn Mawr Awaits Partial Demolition

The renovation permit to add dwelling units to the existing facade of 3244 West Bryn Mawr Avenue in North Park has been issued by the City of Chicago. Applied for on May 9th of last year, the permit, which came through on May 9th of this year after a wait time of 365 days, follows up the demolition permit issued on April 3rd that will preserve the front of the building. The reported construction cost for this permit is $4.59 million.
