Permission has been granted by the City of Chicago to construct a three-flat residential building at 2743 North Greenview Avenue on the north edge of the Lincoln Park Community Area. Issued on February 26 after it was added to the Chicago Data Portal just 16 days prior, the permit calls for a three-story plus basement, three-unit structure. It comes through with a reported cost of $1,125,150 for the work associated with the permit.
A demolition permit was issued by the City of Chicago on February 24 to raze a two-story residence at 2434 West Thomas Street in Humboldt Park. According to real estate records, the 1879-built home was purchased by MK Construction & Builders in December for $455,000. Their permit names All Concrete Contractors of Bridgeview, IL as the demo contractor, at a reported cost of $10,000.
A demolition permit awaits in the Chicago Data Portal to wreck and remove a greystone building at 3617 North Magnolia Avenue in Lake View dating back to 1910. Pending since December 9 of last year, the permit will allow Bachula Development to erect a two-unit condo building on the site, which was permitted for construction on February 25.
A developer from Richton Park, Il received permission last week to construct a three-flat on the same Washington Park block where they got a trio of permits back in June 2025. The Kolossal Group submitted an application on October 15 of last year for 5653 South Prairie Avenue, and that permit came through on February 20 with a reported cost of $500,000.
