Fullerton Pointe Has Begun Construction in Lincoln Park

Foundation construction has begun for Fullerton Pointe, the first of two condominium buildings on Fullerton Parkway in Lincoln Park. This first iteration, permitted by the City of Chicago on November 22, is addressed as 519 West Fullerton Parkway, and will occupy the west end of the two sites. Both buildings are on a portion of the former Cenacle Retreat Center, demolished in 2022 to make way for new development. P3 Properties is the project’s developer.

Progress At 1357 West Roosevelt Road Delivering 70 More Units to Roosevelt Square Development

Construction progress is ongoing at 1357 West Roosevelt Road on Chicago’s Near West Side. Yesterday, we checked in on progress one block east of here, at 1257 West Roosevelt. Both buildings are part of the Roosevelt Square development from Related Midwest and the Chicago Housing Authority. 1357 West Roosevelt Road was permitted for construction by the City of Chicago back in December 2022, and is not quite as far along in completion. The building is topped out, however, and most of its windows have been installed.

Roosevelt Square’s 1257 West Roosevelt Road Closes In On Exterior Completion

Façade work and window installation is in the home stretch at 1257 West Roosevelt Road, one residential component of the Roosevelt Square development plan on the Near West Side. The six-story building is glazed all around, and only a small portion of the cladding remains to be installed at the rear of the building. Its partner one block west, at 1357 West Roosevelt, is also nearing completion.

Excavation Has Begun For Two-Flat Construction At 4243 North Damen In North Center

Excavation work is underway for the basement of a two-flat being constructed at 4243 North Damen Avenue in the North Center neighborhood. The City of Chicago issued a new construction permit for the site on December 2; it calls for two residential units without specifying the number of stories in the building, stating only a height of 30 feet.

Construction Of Two Units Now Underway At 1007 West Cullerton Street In Pilsen

Construction has begun on a new two-unit residential development at 1007 West Cullerton Street in the Pilsen neighborhood, more than a year after receiving its initial permit to begin. The three-story with basement building will include one duplex-up and one duplex-down.

Rush North and Harlem Outpatient Center Nears Exterior Completion In Austin

Exterior work is nearing completion on the Rush North and Harlem Outpatient Center, located at 1625 North Harlem Avenue, in the Austin Community Area. General contractor Novak Construction continues adding detail outside the building, even as work ramps up on the medical facilities inside.

Permit In Hand, Construction Begins At 4454 North Western Avenue

Foundation work has begun for a new residential development at 4454 North Western Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. Located on the southwest corner of Western and Sunnyside Avenues, it replaces a single-story building that was demolished this spring. The permit allowing construction to begin, issued by the City of Chicago on November 29, uses 2405 West Sunnyside Avenue as the building’s address.

Dream Three-Flat Begins Construction At 1145 West 17th Street In Pilsen

A three-flat has begun construction at 1145 West 17th Street in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, and it appears to be someone’s passion project. Caroline & Evan’s Dream House is the entity listed as the owner of the property in the permit issued by the city on September 26 of this year. It replaces a two-story multi-unit residence that was demolished in May.

Construction Is Underway For Townhomes, Apartments At Neva And Wabansia Avenues in Galewood

Construction is underway for Enclave Galewood, a residential development in the Galewood neighborhood at the western edge of Chicago’s Austin Community Area. Developers Harlem Irving Companies and Novak Construction got permits to build all phases of their project in late October of this year. Novak Construction is also the general contractor here; they are building designs by OKW Architects.

Three-Story Next-Door Addition Delivering New Units To 2924 South Loomis Street In Bridgeport

A 1903-built residence at 2924 South Loomis Street in Bridgeport is being doubled in size, thanks to an addition on its side yard next door. The existing three-story multi-unit building is also being renovated as part of the ongoing project. Prairie Home Builders is the general contractor.
