310 West Huron

Construction progress has reached Level 9 on the apartment development at 310 West Huron Street in River North, which developer ZSD Corp  has now topped out. The residential floors are completed, with a few finishing touches still to be done on the ninth-floor amenity level located in the middle section of the building’s “thirds.” There remains a street crane on site, so some heavy lifting still needs to be done. Window installation is underway, with more glass showing on the rear of the building along the alley than on the Huron Street frontage, for now.

With three concrete-block cores now risen to full height, structural steel is being erected for the residential project at 310 West Huron in River North. The elevator core at the center of the property has been flanked by two stairways, and a mobile crane is setting ironwork in place at the east end of the construction site. At the west end, walls are up and windows have been cut out for the first two stories.

Though it applies to just the top two stories, a permit issued on December 16 by the City of Chicago allows developer ZSD Corp to complete construction of their 149-unit apartment building at 310 West Huron Street in River North. Caisson work, meanwhile, is in full swing at the site, with Thatcher Foundations of Gary, IN handling the heavy equipment.
