New plans have been revealed for the commercial development at 1010 W Madison Street in the West Loop. Located directly on the intersection with N Morgan Street, the proposal will replace a vacant parking lot previously earmarked for a residential building. Now the same developer, Fulton Street Companies, has changed directions from the SCB-designed mid-rise to a new short structure from Gensler.
Facade construction for a new mixed-use development at 1101 W Van Buren Street in West Loop is nearing its full height. Planned by Pizzuti Development, the 19-story tower, known as Coppia, stands on a previously empty plot, flanked by two residential structures.
Near the center of West Loop at 21 N May Street, Embry, a 16-story condominium tower is approaching the final stages of its facade work. Developed by Sulo Development, Embry will house 58 residences, with floor plans between 1,828 and 5,200 square feet, available in two-, three-, and four-bedroom configurations.
Construction is nearing completion on Madison + Carpenter, a six-story mixed-use building at 6 North Carpenter Street in West Loop. The project, led by ZSD Corp, comprises 13 condominium units atop ground-level retail. As seen from signage, Belmont Bank & Trust will occupy this commercial space.
Excavation work has commenced on the 11-story mixed-use development located at 919 W Fulton Market. This progress accompanies a newly issued tower crane permit from this past week. The building, a collaborative effort between Fulton St. Companies and JDL, is poised to house 400,000 square feet of office and retail space. The construction will also provide prominent new street walls along Fulton Market and Sangamon on what was previously an empty half-block lot.
