The corner site will be the newest Chicago location of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, the fast-serve chain based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This property had been vacant for several years following the demolition of a deteriorated one-story masonry building.

Kensington School West Loop construction

Concrete is in the ground for Kensington School West Loop

Foundation work is underway at 1220 West Adams Street for the Kensington School West Loop. Having received a new construction permit from the City of Chicago on August 26, general contractor Charles Hall Construction has begun ground-level work with a hand from Taylor Excavation. The permit calls for a three-story building with an unspecified number off-street parking spaces. The new school replaces a former Boy Scouts of America office building and retail shop, which was demolished this spring.
