Rising into the 26th place on our year-end countdown is the mixed-use development at 210 N Aberdeen Street in the West Loop. Located not too far from yesterday’s entry of Embry, the multi-mass project is near the intersection with W Fulton Street. The team at LG Development Group worked with local architecture firm NORR on its design with Power Construction executing on the plans.
Having now surpassed the 12th floor, the condo development dubbed “Embry” has claimed the 27th spot in our year-end construction countdown. This 15-story, 207-foot-tall residential project at 21 N May Street has been planned by Sulo Development and will contain 58 total residences. Floor plans range from two- to four-bedroom units, with floor space occupying between 1,828 and 5,187 square feet.
Coming in at a height of 195 feet, construction is nearing completion for 1044 W Van Buren Street in West Loop, marking the 28th spot in Chicago YIMBY’s year-end countdown. The 18-story apartment building is being developed by Tandem and will house a total of 196 for-rent units.
Exterior renovation work continues to take shape for the new Guinness Taproom and Brewery in Fulton Market. Owned by Fred Latsko, the former Pennsylvania Railroad Terminal Building at 375 N Morgan Street is being developed by Guinness as part of a deal that was finalized last year. Once a popular street art canvas, the converted beer hub will now contain a 10-barrel brewery, a pub, and a restaurant serving local chef cuisine.
The lower levels of the superstructure are taking shape for 360 N Green Street, a 24-story mixed-use tower at the northeast corner of Fulton Market. The 399-foot-tall tower is being developed by Sterling Bay directly east of the Guinness Brewery, already in progress.
