As the 30th tallest entry in Chicago YIMBY’s end-of-year countdown the approved 330 N Green Street, set to reach 288 feet in height, currently awaits groundbreaking in the Fulton Market neighborhood. Dubbed “The Porch,” Sterling Bay’s 20-story mixed-use development will provides a unique set of features that help blaze the trail for the 21st-century office block.
Leading up to 2021, YIMBY will be checking in on Chicago’s tallest projects under development and construction. Beginning at number 31 in our list, 1400 W Randolph Street is a 26-story mixed-use tower, rising 274 feet. Located in the West Loop, the development site is a corner lot at the intersection of W Randolph Street and N Ogden Avenue. The nearest public transportation is Ashland CTA L station, serviced by the Green and Pink Lines, a five-minute walk away.
Work is rapidly nearing completion for a mixed-use, multi-building development known as 1100 W Fulton Market, located within West Loop‘s Fulton Market neighborhood. The project has been developed by Fulton St. Companies, with additional backing from Huizenga Capital Management. Herman Miller, which recently began leasing the 1100 W Fulton Market property, will serve as the single tenant for the buildings. Herman Miller’s new space will include its retail offerings and a showroom on the first floor, and accessory office space on the floors above.
