Fulton Market’s urban landscape continues to evolve as construction progresses at 1114 W Carroll Avenue, the site of a future mixed-use high-rise developed by Trammell Crow Company. Alongside other recent projects like 225 N Elizabeth Street, Fulbrix, and 1400 W Randolph Street, the planned 34-story tower continues to push the boundaries of the skyline further west.
Construction has reached its pinnacle for 225 N Elizabeth Street, a new 28-story high rise in Fulton Market. Taking shape on what was formerly the two-story Krueger Sausage Factory at the corner of Fulton and Elizabeth Streets, this mixed-use project is a collaborative effort between Sterling Bay and Ascentris.
Renderings have been revealed for the potential hotel development at 850 W Washington Boulevard in the West Loop. Located on the northeast corner with N Peoria Street just a few steps south of Randolph Street, the proposal would replace a one-story commercial building and surface parking lot. The site was recently acquired by a team made up of Mavrek Development and GW Properties who are working with Freedes Studio on the renderings.
The Chicago city council has approved the mixed-use development at 357 N Green Street in the West Loop. Sitting on a unique wedged lot with N Halsted Street to the east, the site has long been vacant as it is traversed by the Kennedy Expressway on the northeast corner and is surrounded by different modes of transit. However now Canadian-developer Onni Group, who recently revealed their redesigned tower for Halsted Pointe nearby, is tackling the challenge with SCB serving as the architect and Confluence working on its landscape design.
The Chicago City Council has approved the 46-story mixed-use skyscraper at 1300 W Lake Street in Fulton Market. Located at the northwest corner with N Elizabeth Street, the project was initially revealed in March of this year and subsequently reviewed by the Committee on Design. Loukas Development has now received approval for the slightly redesigned tower from bKL Architecture.
